VOLUNTEER
It is no secret that we could not do what we do without many incredible volunteers. Each of our volunteers has come alongside us in supporting our vision of providing safe communities that restore survivors of sexual exploitation to achieve their true potential. It is amazing to see each of our volunteers utilizing their gifts and passions to serve in a wide variety of ways.
Most volunteer opportunities require training, a background check, and NDA signature. Volunteer opportunities fall under four tiers. Tier 1 volunteers serve outside of the safe home. Tiers 2-4 volunteers serve inside the safe home and require additional levels of training. Below are some of the ways volunteers add value for survivors:
WAYS TO VOLUNTEER
Tabling Assistance
TVF gets invited to represent our organization around the community with an information table. While our staff intends to be present as much as possible, we often cannot make it to every event and need the help of well-trained volunteers to represent TVF in the community.
Storage Organization
TVF maintains two storage facilities. Due to the ebbs and flows within these facilities, regular reorganization is necessary. This is a great fit for a highly detailed and organized volunteer.
Share Your Hobby
Do you have a hobby that you teach others how to enjoy? We’d love to talk to you about how your hobby could help the survivors in our program.
Fundraising Assistance
Are you well connected and like to help fundraise? There are many opportunities from fundraising events, to North Texas Giving Day, to end-of-year giving, for you to bring people together and connect them to a meaningful cause.
Host a Survivor Birthday
For each survivor’s birthday, we want to help them feel celebrated. If you or a small group would be willing to host a party, purchase food and decor, have access to a room at your church, or want to purchase a gift, let us know.
Safe House Assistant
Not for the faint of heart, this role requires several weeks of training, shadowing with a team member, and several releases. Volunteers cook meals, help clean, organize the art room, and many other things.
Prayer Partner
TVF partners with several local church groups who carry our cause deep in their hearts. Prayer partners contend for the survivors in our programs and intercede for our staff. Host a prayer gathering at your house and a TVF team member will join in support.
Training Assistance
TVF trains professionals, community members, and students. When we go out to give a presentation, it’s helpful to have someone set up our information table and speak to interested participants about TVF’s impact.
Shop TVF merch.
Represent TVF in the community and make a difference by wearing merchandise that teaches others about trafficking.
